Arrived Singapore, Hawkins, Carlisle, Durban, Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Bluebell, Chatham, Petersfield in company.  Conference held on board every day.

March 19^th

Sailed from Singapore.

March 20^th

Arrived at Port Swettenham.

March 27^th

Sailed for Batavia.

March 28^th

Arrived Singapore.  We put in here on account of Admiral being very queer.  All our movements cancelled.  Admiral sick on board Petersfield.  Admiral Everett invalided home.  Sailed for England in SS Antenor.  Captain Lake became Commodore, commanding 5^th CS.  RAY became C-in-C Civil China Squadron.

Arrived Hong Kong.

Sailed from Hong Kong.

1700 left ship, proceeding on board SS Adolfvonbayar [sic] met Bob.  Sleep [sic] in same cabin, left ship 0800.  Bob sailed for Tsingtan.

May 21^st

Sailed 1500 SS Shuntien, arrived Chefoo 1900.  Went to Mrs Calyton to dinner.  Quiet evening.

May 22^nd

Took Geoff and Aunt E for a walk.  Went to Mrs Millbank to dinner.  Visited Nellie’s grave.

May 23^rd

Empire Day celebrations.  Children’s sports from 1430 till 1700.  Had dinner at home, then to concert at Chefoo Club.  Finished at 2300 and started dancing.  Visited Nellie’s grave and attended service at 11 o’clock.

May 24^th

Went to 11 o’clock service at St Andrew’s church.  Rev Riddler USN splendid sermon.  Same out then to club with Joe and Mrs M.  Strawberry’s [sic] and cream, first of the season.  After tea quiet evening.  Mah Jong.

May 25^th

Walk in forenoon with Geoff.  Sailed at 1500 for Wei Hai Wei.  Sorry to leave.  Same ship.

June 6^th

Sailed from Wei Hai Wei.

June 8^th

Arrived Wusung.

June 14^th

1700 sailed from Wusung, anchoring at 1925.

June 15^th

Weighted 0415, arriving Nanking at [left blank]

June 25^th

Sailed [left blank], arriving Wusung same day.

Sailed and arrived Shanghai.

Sailed for Wusang [sic] and anchored till 28^th.

Sailed from WHW 0600, arrived Chafoo [sic] 1030.  Saw everyone leave 1230 till 2100.  Good time, all well.

Sailed 0830 arriving WHW 1900.  Lost torpedo.

Left to search for torpedo 0600, arrived back 1800.

Aug 10^th

Sailed 0700 for Hong Kong.

Aug 14^th

Arrived HK.

Sailed for Yokohama 1750.  Very nice passage.

Sept 15^th

Arrived 0930.  Saluted country (SS Nagara), Nisshin saluted C-in-C, Prince George, Admiral and staff.  Proceeded to Tokyo, returned on 17^th.  Weather very wet, no shore side.

Sept 18^th

1830 sailed from Yokohama.

Sept 23^rd

Arrived WHW at 0810.

Oct 6^th

1330 sailed for Shanghai.

0715 arrived Shanghai.
